We've always wanted to go to High Park to see the cherry blossoms. Last Mother's day, we decided to pack some snacks and a picnic blanket to take advantage of the beautiful weather and have a relaxing Mother's Day celebration there. The cherry blossoms are so beautiful! Tonicci loved seeing the ducks and chicks, exploring the High Park Zoo, rolling down on the hill, playing his video games, having a picnic on the grass, and taking pictures of his dad and me :)

Neighborhood Stroll
We love our neighborhood. It's very residential (schools and parks nearby) and two blocks away, you immediately feel the vibe of downtown with the different shops and restaurants.
Last Friday, the weather was so beautiful that we decided to take a stroll along Queen Street, which is just 3 blocks away from where we live. We saw some cute window displays, browsed through some small shops and took lots of pictures. For snacks, Jet had shawarma while Tonicci and I had a crepe at this new desert place. We ended our day by dropping by the Church to pray and give thanks.

Park
The recent winter was too long, so now that Spring is finally here we are taking advantage of the beautiful weather. I arranged a play date with Charlotte at Sanderson Park. The next day we went to Trinity Bellwoods after his basketball class. It's just so beautiful everywhere we go since the flowers and trees are all in full bloom!
Kensington Market
Last Thursday, we went to Kensington Market because I needed to buy some vitamins. What supposedly should have been a quick errand turned into an hour of window shopping. The weather for the past few weeks has either been cold + wet or cold + windy. That day however was just perfect so we ended up roaming the Kensington neighborhood. We didn't shop for anything other than the vitamins I needed but we did sample some food at Augusta 214 (a latin american mini food court) and went into shops that sell cheese, meat, fish and a cute cupcake store. What did Tonicci do the whole time? He took lots of pictures! :)
Rain Boots
It's been raining a lot here in Toronto so I decided to buy Tonicci some rain boots. We went to Kolkids, a neighborhood children's store and found one that's just so cute!

Sportsball
After four sessions in Basketball class, we're sad to say that we are not happy with how the Coach runs the program. There is absolutely no structure- he would let the kids play on their own and would only coach them about shooting and dribbling every so often. Coach Terry is nice, the class is cheap but definitely not worth spending a penny on.
I decided to look for other sports programs and Sportsball was strongly recommended by a Mommy friend. Tonicci goes every Saturday morning for one hour and he absolutely loves it! Coach Paul and Coach Ali are so terrific at what they do. They are engaging and they do so much in an hour of class. We enrolled him in a multi-sport program (basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball, golf.) so that we could get a sense of what sport Tonicci will eventually like. It's only been 3 classes so far and he consistently says that he really likes soccer. Every time the class ends, he begs for us to take him again the next day- all of us are now satisfied :)
Note: The pictures below are blurry since Jet was in a hurry to shoot. We were told not to take pictures of other kids but our own- which is quite hard.
