Art Studio

Our neighbor Melanie invited us to the art studio where they are currently renting a space. Tonicci and Charlotte have been playmates ever since we moved to Toronto, but now that they go to different schools, they don't see each other that often.

 

The kids spent an hour coloring, decorating, drawing and using their imagination. Tonicci loved it and wants to go back!

Showings

Whenever people make appointments to look at our condo, we scramble to clean up and bring down some stuff so that the place looks uncluttered.

It's such a blessing that Tonicci is so helpful and kind to carry or bring things for me since I can't do it all by myself. Here he is lugging around our hamper full of our stuff as we hurry to leave so that the people viewing the condo don't see us!

Lego land

We spent 7 hours in the hospital undergoing an ultrasound, meeting Tinsley's pediatrician, meeting another gynecologist who will also be monitoring my  pregnancy, and following up with our compassionate and favorite doctor, Dr. Chitayat- head of the genetics department.

Tonicci was with us the whole time because it was March break. I packed him his ipad, papers & crayons and for 7 hours that kept him quiet and occupied. Since he was such a trooper, we kept our promise to take him to Lego land. He's been a Lego fan since he was 2 years old. Now, his happiness is Lego Ninjago. Ask him about it and he can describe all the characters with such passion! Highlights for him included the 4D lego movie, and of course, buying a Ninjago toy set:)

 

We didn't get a chance to take more photos since our camera ran out of power, but he says it was "the best day ever!"

Packing and cleaning

We're welcoming another baby soon and because of her medical condion we decided to stay in Toronto for maybe a year or two more. Looking at how tight our space is for the three of us, we knew it would be quite a challenge as to how we are going to fit one more child in this place.

Jet and I decided to contact our realtor and start looking for a bigger home. One Sunday, after being dissapointed with the 4 townhouses that we saw, we found a place that we fell in love with. Before we knew it, we were making an offer and we got it! It's not a huge place but the kids will finally have their own bedroom and space where they can run around.

 

The challenge now is to quickly sell our place. The stager wants our condo as bare, clean, spotless and uncluttered as possible. For the last 2 weeks, we've been doing some re-painting, packing, sorting, LOTS of cleaning and making our place look pretty. We are tired, achy and I feel that I am going to go on labor soon! We list the place on Tuesday and I hope we sell quickly so all the hard work will be worth it.

Sunday breakfast

Jet usually does the cooking during weekends. He makes breakfast for us. This time around, I asked him to include Tonicci  while he makes pancakes with bacon. After all, Tonicci loves being our little helper.

 

 

 

Gallery

Three Fridays ago, there was no school for Tonicci because of a teachers conference. We invited Vicki and Oliver to join us at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

The boys had a blast at the hands-on center (where there was arts and crafts) and going around the museum. What was supposed to be only a 3 hour outing turned into almost 5 hours! At the end, Vicki and I were exhausted trying to keep the boys calm and quiet because they were just too excited!
