Tonicci's happy place (Chapters bookstore and Rain Forest Cafe)

We find ourselves at the mall every Saturday since the start of February mainly because it's the meeting place for me and my driving instructor. Since it's a 45 minute wait for Jet and Tonicci, they go to Chapters bookstore and Rainforest Cafe, both of which are located inside the mall.

Tonicci would hurry up to the Thomas train table inside Chapters, insisting to his Dad that he might "lose his spot." At Rainforest Cafe, he loves looking at the alligator (which looks so real) and will beg his Daddy to give him coins so he can shoot it inside the alligator's mouth.

Glow in the Dark Mini Golf

Our family decided to go to Putting Edge, a glow in the dark mini-golf place located in Mississauga. Since the weather is so cold and windy outside, our activities are limited to indoor places like this.

Tonicci  never played mini-golf and we're trying it as a family for the first time. As expected, Tonicci didn't know how to hold the putter nor how to maneuver it so Jet and I had to help him a lot. There was a lot of frustration on his part (since he is such a perfectionist) that at the end Jet and I decided to just let him hold the putter his way. The important thing is that he's having fun and that he's getting familiar with the concept of the game.

Out of us three, as expected Jet won the game :)

Toronto International Auto Show

Jet got free tickets from his co-worker so he decided to bring Tonicci along. Perfect timing since he's so into cars right now and whenever we're on the road he would often ask "is that car fast or slow?" It was a perfect Saturday bonding for father and son.

Skating- with his Instructor

We thought of ice skating lessons for Tonicci just this February (even though the  rinks were open as early as November). Unfortunately, it's been raining a lot and the rink that we go to will be closing at the end of the month. So, we were able to schedule only one lesson with Thomas, his skating instructor. Oh well, next winter we really have to start early.

Fantasy Fair

Last Monday, Torontonians celebrated Family Day. We decided to take Tonicci to Fantasy Fair, an indoor playground. It was crazy busy but well worth it since Tonicci loved all the rides :)

The Model Railroad Club of Toronto

The Model Railroad Club of Toronto is one of North America’s premier O-scale clubs. Founded in 1938, the Club is now in its 73nd year. The Club’s goal has been, using the varied creative talents of all its members, the construction and operation of a miniature railway system that re-creates the feel of a late 1950’s railroad.

Being a train fanatic, we made sure that Tonicci gets to visit and explore this place. Sure enough, he and his Dad stayed for almost 2 hours where he viewed in awe at the beauty of the craftsmanship. It truly was a work of art!
