Sledding

Recently, we went to our nearby park to go sledding. Jet bought a very simple sled and we thought that it was the perfect time to do it since there was enough snow outside to cover the hill and the temperature wasn't freezing.

Tonicci absolutely loved it! He went down the hill  five times with his dad and he couldn't stop laughing every time they reached the ground. Jet and I also went down the hill together, and even I have to admit that it was fun! Tonicci asked us if we could make a snowman but we failed to do so since it was harder than we thought. Our hands were already too cold!

I think we're going to do this again next week.

Pre-Valentine dinner

Last Saturday our family had dinner at The Keg, one of our favorite restaurants since they serve the best steaks ever! We wouldn't have thought of it as our venue for Valentine's dinner since we find it quite pricey. Luckily, Patrick our realtor, had the most perfect timing in sending us a little thank you token (a $100 Keg gift card)  for referring him to a new client - my friend Masooda who recently sold her house.

We're happy to say that it's not so bad to dine out with Tonicci nowadays compared to when he was younger. I think it started when he turned 3. Of course 20 min. into the dinner he was already restless. But believe me - we'd happily take that 20 mins. anytime! We were able to eat our appetizers and mains in peace.

He enjoyed the dinner so much, especially the attention that he got from the beautiful hostess who went up to him twice to tell him how cute he was!

Montreal

As we walked the streets of Montreal, memories of our 3 years stay came flooding back. After checking-in at our hotel, we went to see our relatives for dinner. It's been a year and a half since we last saw everyone but nothing has changed- they're still the warm and happy family we love.

I was also very happy to see my good friend Josee, and her daughter Rose (Tonicci's first friend). We're very touched that they took the time to see us even if the weather wasn't that great (it was snowing!).  Things were awkward between them at first but, after a few minutes they were holding hands and playing already.

Tonicci had a great time- during the train ride, seeing friends and family, walking around downtown, he was so happy even if we were just at the hotel room! One night before going to bed he told me " Mommy, I am very, very happy."

Train Ride

Last Sunday, we took the train going to Montreal. Jet had to attend a 2 day meeting so we decided to tag along. Tonicci kept saying " It's my train day today!" We've already taken the train a couple of times in the past when he was a baby but now that he's 3 years old, I guess it's more exciting for him.
