"Summer Preview"

Last week, summer arrived (24 degrees!) just to give us a 'tease' of things to look forward to over the next few months (unfortunately, winter came back this weekend). All the kids in the neighborhood were out in the park again and Tonicci was able to set up play dates with his chums.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

I spent the eve of my 35th birthday in Montreal for a work-related trip. Straight from the train station, we went out for a nice dinner at one of our favorite neighborhood restos. Anna ordered her favorite (duck ravioli) and I treated myself to an ice cold tall glass of beer. Tonicci didn't care for either. - Jet

Tonicci's First Ever Bicycle

We bought a used bike for Tonicci and we decided to test it as soon as the weather was warm enough to go for a ride. The perfect place to go biking around our area is Trinity Bellwoods Park because of the wide open space and the beautiful scenery.

Tonicci absolutely loves his bike! He went around the Park with a big smile on his face. He was also thrilled when his friend Oliver met up with us riding his very own tricycle.

Spring Fling

Danica (Mayon's mom) and I decided to bring the boys to the Rogers Centre Spring Fling. As soon as we entered the venue, I was instantly reminded of my childhood and how my parents used to bring me and my brother to carnivals like this (think- Cubao Fiesta Carnival).

Tonicci considers Mayon one of his best friends, and as expected the two of them had loads of fun! They got to ride all the rides they wanted since it wasn't too crowded and that we got there early. There was also a science centre corner, a reptilia exhibit and arts & crafts booth. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures since it was hard to catch up to 2 very hyper and excited boys.

March break is something North American families really look forward to, and finally we got to appreciate why- it's because of Spring Flings like this!

Muskoka 2012

The District Municipality of Muskoka, more generally referred to as the District of Muskoka, or simply Muskoka is a Regional Municipality located in Central Ontario, Canada. Muskoka extends from Georgian Bay in the west, to the  northern tip of Lake Couchiching in the south, to the western border of Algonquin Provincial Park in the east. Located approximately two hours north of Toronto, Muskoka spans 6,475 km. Muskoka has some 1,600 lakes, making it a popular resort destination.

Since it's March break and Jet wanted to take some time off from work, we decided to go to Muskoka. We've been hearing of good things about this place and how it's a favorite destination of Canadians. We were not dissapointed at all. The place is picture perfect and absolutely breathtaking (I hope our pictures did justice). It was so cold when we went and we did mostly winter activities. It would have been perfect in the summer when you can just dip your feet in the lake and enjoy the sunshine but nonetheless we still had fun.
