Mother of Gratitude Shrine

We took Tinsley to this place to pray for her and to ask for help. We were so lucky that she was blessed by the priest, Father Basil, who is the founder of the shrine. We were able to hear mass ,touch the relic of some saints and even got to meet some Filipinos who were there too.

It was so beautiful, serene and holy. We continue to pray that out intentions will be miraculously granted by the blessed Virgin Mary.

Science Center

Our last trip to the Ontario Science Center before my free pass expires this November. One of my favorite places to take Tonicci because there is so much to do, see and discover. The rare times that we were able to go out on a date- just him and me. No distractions, my attention was all on him- and I think he loved it!

Trick or treat!

Aside from his birthday, Tonicci's favorite time of the year is Halloween! The night before the 31st, he said to me "Mommy, I am so excited."

The next day, even though it was raining quite a bit, we still headed out to go trick or treating. Jet even had to rush home from Montreal just so he could join us. He knew how important this day was for the family.

Since we just moved into the neighborhood, we weren't familiar with the best streets. Luckily, we found one just a few blocks from us where there were tons of kids in costumes, rows and rows of houses that were beautifully decorated, and people giving out candies. Tonicci was on sugar high and Tinsley, oh dear, was looking at everything with curiosity and amazement.

Next year, we'll do better with our costumes. Better than what we scrounged from the dollar store!

what happened to my daddy??!!

Tinsley must think his Kuya is so silly

love it when he's so happy!!

Jack-o-lantern

It's been a family tradition to carve out the pumpkin that we picked at the farm. As he watches his daddy intently carving, he makes a couple of suggestions on how he wants his jack-o-lantern to look like. He loves it when it's time to put the candles inside and it's all lit up!

do you spot the beer? :)

happy and ready for Halloween!

A day at the Beaches

After hearing mass, we decided to go around the Beaches area nearby. We had lunch, went to our favorite little bookstore, took Tonicci to the playground and took a stroll on the boardwalk. Such a lovely day to take the kids out and for Mama Marissa to see our neighborhood.
